JLS to bring comeback 'Beat Again' tour to Newcastle

Boy band JLS are set to come to Newcastle as part of their return to the music industry.

The act - which came fifth on The X Factor in 2008 and went on to have five number one singles - will play the Utilita Arena on November 21.

This foursome - Aston Merrygold, Oritsé Williams, Marvin Humes and JB Gilhas - been on hiatus since 2013 and the comeback tour will be named after arguably their best-known song, 'Beat Again'.

In a joint statement JLS said:

We are so excited to be working together as a group again.

We’ve always been like family, and now we feel that this is the right time for us to get back on stage and perform in front of our loyal fans.

Even though it’s been seven years, you can be sure that it’s going to be as high energy as ever”

They sold over six million records and four multi-platinum albums.

The band are two time BRIT winners, having won Best British Breakthrough and Best British Single with ‘Beat Again’, which was also named the fastest selling debut single of 2009. In addition they have won five MOBO Awards and three Urban Music Awards.
