A man accused of the murder of Teesside teenager Taylor Black is due to stand trial in August.
Nathan Costello, 30, is charged with the murder of Taylor Black, 18, who was found dead at a property on Ketton Road in Hardwick, Stockton on Monday, February 17.
Costello, of Ketton Road, has not yet entered a plea to the charge and made his first appearance at Teesside Crown Court this morning.
Judge Stephen Ashurst said a provisional trial date was set for August 17.
A plea hearing is to take place on May 11.
He said: “The purpose of this very short hearing this morning is to set a timetable for this trial to be ready.
“You will be brought to court, Nathan Costello, for the plea hearing on May 11.
“For the time being I formally remand you in custody until the next hearing.”
Costello appeared in court via video link to Durham Prison and spoke only to confirm his name, DOB and nationality.
