A cold, frosty but largely sunny start to Monday. Some showers will develop during the afternoon, wintry and more frequent over the Pennines with eastern areas drier. Feeling cold. Less windy compared to the past weekend but remaining breezy. Highs 6°C.

OUTLOOK:

Sunshine and showers Tuesday to Thursday, showers wintry over high ground. Blustery again Tuesday, where showers could become more frequent for a time. Remaining rather cold with overnight frost and ice.
