Age UK Northumberland is warning that isolation among older people is increasing during lockdown.
The charity is working extra hard to stay in touch with lonely people. Since lockdown they've done more than 2,000 telephone befriending calls.
They're also trying to make sure that people shielding or self isolating have enough provisions.
Loneliness was already a problem across the rural community before the coronavirus hit.
ITV Tyne Tees reporter, Jonny Blair spent a day with the team of volunteers on another busy day.
Age UK Northumberland have been delivering isolation packs with some essentials and treats to make lockdown a little easier.
The packs which are being distributed all around the country have been organised by North East TV personality Vicky Pattison.
The former Geordie Shore and I'm a Celebrity star is working with popular food brands which have been donating the products.
We caught up with Vicky about why she wanted to do her bit to help.
