A business owner has been left devastated after several cars weretorched in a suspected arson attack.

Dramatic pictures show the remains of the vehicles at Winlaton Millgarage in Gateshead, after a fire ripped through the building in themiddle of the night.

Owner Lucina Parker-Jones, 24, was woken by police knocking on herHolly Avenue door who broke the devastating news to her.

There were three cars in the garage, as well as tools and kit. All in,she estimates the blaze caused £5,000 in damage.

As well as the fire, the business has suffered a spate of break-ins recently.

Mrs Parker-Jones said:

I just have the feeling someone is out against me,"

An old Mondeo and a Corsa, which were "doer-uppers", were among thevehicles damaged in the fire.

Mrs Parker-Jones said both cars have now been written off.

After nine years of building up her business, she admits the fire hasleft her with serious doubts about the future.

She added:

I feel like the message, be it from one person or a group of them, isto stop.

Do I even try to keep going? At the moment, it feels pointless.

A Northumbria Police spokesperson said:

At 2.10am on May 1 wereceived a report of three cars on fire at a garage on Holly Avenue, Winlaton, Gateshead. Fire crews worked to put out the blaze and officers conducted a search of the area.
