Ten men have been jailed for grooming and abusing a 13-year-old girl from North Yorkshire online. Detectives called it large-scale exploitation, involving men from across the country, several of whom were married and had successful careers.

31 suspects were originally identified, none of them knew each other.
Ten men have been sentenced to a total of 34 years and 4 months, and one man is awaiting sentence. Others have been cautioned.
The men groomed a 13-year-old girl online for sexual gratification. It came to light when the victim's mother contacted police and handed over her daughter’s mobile phone.
The offences ranged from possessing indecent images to sexual activity with a child.
The offenders lived around the UK and were aged between 20 and 45 along with a 14-year-old boy. Other victims were identified and some defendants were charged in relation to offences committed against them.
