Police say they had a 'strange end to the night' when they stopped a tractor in Harrogate with no headlights on. Officers found a 15-year-old boy was driving the tractor as a taxi for his intoxicated friends just before 5am on 4 February.

Concern for boy, 16, missing since October
Police in North Yorkshire are concerned for a boy, aged 16, who went missing nearly four months ago.
Abdullah Abrado was last seen on October 2nd.
He came to the UK in September and had been staying with a friend in Harrogate.
Officers are urging him to get in touch so that they can be sure he is safe and well.

North Yorkshire man wanted in connection with burglaries
Ryan Mulvaney is wanted in connection with two burglaries. One burglary happened in Stonefall Avenue, Harrogate on November 2.
Sometime between 4pm and 5pm, an offender entered the property via an insecure door and a purse containing numerous bank cards was stolen.
The second burglary happened on November 8 in High Street, Knaresborough. The offender entered the property via an insecure door and a handbag containing a purse was stolen.
Anyone who saw any suspicious people or activity in the area around the times of these burglaries is asked to contact police.

Read the full story ›Two critical after motorcycle collision near Harrogate
Police are appealing for witnesses to a serious collision near Harrogate which left two people in a critical condition.
It happened on September 10 on the B6161 between the village of Beckwithshaw and Briscoe Ridge Lane. The collision involved a red Volksawagen Golf which was travelling towards Beckwithshaw from the direction of Leathley and a black Aprilia motorcycle which was travelling in the opposite direction away from Beckwithshaw towards Leathley.
The motorcycle was carrying a pillion passenger and both rider and passenger were wearing black leathers.
As a result of the collision, the rider of the motorcycle, a 48-year-old man, and the pillion, a 47-year-old woman, from the Boroughbridge area, sustained serious injuries and were both taken by air ambulances to hospital, where they remain in a critical condition.
The driver of the Volkswagen, a 34-year-old woman from the Ripon area, sustained minor injuries which did not require hospital treatment.
