Tyne Tees Homelessness

Analysis of official homelessness figures, and responses to a Freedom of Information request, shows that of the 1,250 people in the North East are homeless.

Former rough sleepers, in Newcastle, are thriving in the UK's first complex to be transformed from a traditional hostel into self-contained apartments.

The new members of the team will help tackle systematic barriers people face when finding a job.
