A County Durham man has helped refugees from Afghanistan play cricket again after being so moved by their situation, he donated bats and balls to them.
Steve Watson from Consett organised a shipment of second hand equipment to their camp in Germany, where a tournament took place at the weekend.

Support group, North East Solidarity With Calais Refugees, will distribute tents, sleeping bags, food, clothing and toiletries to help the thousands of refugees living in camps around the French port.
