Sunderland AFC's match against Wolverhampton Wanderers is in doubt following snowfall.
More snow is forecast and Wolves' management say that they will be doing everything possible to ensure the 3pm kick-off goes ahead on December 9.
Staff and fan volunteers will be working to clear the stadium.
Fans are being advised to put plans in place to arrive as early as possible.
Newcastle United defender Mike Williamson has extended his loan deal at Wolverhampton Wanderers until the New Year.
The 32-year-old initially joined the Championship side on a one-month loan in October, but he will now remain at Molineux until January 16.
Williamson has made three appearances for Wolves so far this season.
Sunderland striker Danny Graham has joined Wolves on loan for the remainder of 2014.
The 29-year-old, from Gateshead, has struggled to command a regular first-team place at the Stadium of Light since his £5 million move from Swansea City in January 2013.
Graham, who has also had recent loan spells at Hull City and Middlesbrough, will now be playing under Kenny Jackett at Molineux until December 31.
