Eddie Straight joined the army in 1940.
In that time he guarded the then Princess Elizabeth and eventually, as part of the 11th Armoured Division, arriving to help liberate the Nazis Belsen camp in 1945.
The premier of the film will take place at the Dorman museum this evening.
