Campaign against library closures in Sunderland

Campaigners hoping to save nine libraries in Sunderland have reacted with anger at a decision not to vote on the closures at a full council meeting.

They have staged a protest criticising the move. Earlier this month Sunderland City Council's cabinet agreed the closures to try and save around £850,000 pounds.
