Geordie accent named one of the friendliest
The Geordie accent has been named one of the friendliest in the country. ITV's Tonight programme surveyed thousands of people across the UK.
But it was not all positive. Because more than a quarter of people said they had been discriminated against because of their accent.
The researchers met children on Teesside who felt they were less likely to get a job because of how they sound.
