Hundreds attended the ¡VAMOS! Festival’s Family Picnic in Newcastle. Organisers brought a Brazilian and Portuguese spirit to the city by bringing in carnival dancers and Latin musicians.
The free event was held at Summerhill Bowling Club lawn and it marked the middle weekend of the ¡VAMOS! Festival which runs until June 22.
"With the 9th edition of ¡VAMOS! Festival we have really tried to shake things up and we feel is our strongest programme yet. The music from the best Brazilian Band of 2013 Da Lata and the dancers and performers, as well as the sunshine made for a great afternoon at the ¡VAMOS! Picnic at Summerhill Bowling Club, with hundreds of people enjoying the traditional Festa Juninas activities and theme.”_
