A care worker has been given a suspended prison sentence for stealing money from a resident of a care home where she worked.

Claire O'Hara from Thornaby had worked at the Stainton Way Care Home in Middlesbrough for eight years.

A care worker has been given a suspended prison sentence for stealing money from a resident of a care home where she worked.

Claire O'Hara from Thornaby had worked at the Stainton Way Care Home in Middlesbrough for eight years.

A camera was placed in a room when family members became suspicious that money was going missing.

The footage showed O'Hara stealing money from Patrick Murray.

The 79 year old died a few months later.
