Region honours Paris terror attack victims

A book of condolence is to be opened at Newcastle Civic Centre for the victims of the Paris terror attacks.

Services have been held across the region in memory of the 129 people killed in the French capital on Friday night.

Muslims in Newcastle condemn Paris attacks

Newcastle's Muslim community has said it condemns the terrorist attacks in Paris, which have killed at least 127 people.

The Islamic State group has claimed responsibility.

Newcastle City Councillor, Dipu Ahad, says Muslims "have to come together as a community and condemn this."
