The marriage of the younger daughter of the Duke of Northumberland has ended after less than three years.

The undefended "quickie divorce" - obtained by the former Lady Melissa Percy on the grounds of Thomas van Straubenzee's unreasonable behaviour - took just a few minutes at the Central Family Court in London.

33-year-old property consultant Mr van Straubenzee is an old prep school friend of the Duke of Cambridge.

Both the Duke and Prince Harry were guests at his Northumberland wedding, in June 2013, when the reception was held in Alnwick Castle, the ancestral home of his tennis coach bride.
