Police appeal for public's help in identifying body found off Northumberland coast

Police are appealing for the public's help in identifying the body of a man found off the Northumberland coast.

At around 7.55am this morning (Sunday) police received a report of a body in the North Sea just off the coast in the Magdalane Fields area of Berwick.

Enquiries are now ongoing to establish his identity and now police are asking for help from the public.

The man is described as white, of medium to large build, in his mid 50s, with grey and brown medium length hair and a grey goatee. He has a prominent gap in his front teeth and has no tattoos or piercings.

He was found wearing a Greenwoods waxed jacket, a blue checked shirt, jeans and black trainers.
