Matt Wylie took a trip down memory lane as he paid a visit to his former school Biddick Academy today.
The 20 year old was greeted by current students as he unveiled a plaque in his honour.
The Paralympian gold medallist led today's school assembly revealing memories surrounding the event and inspiring future athletes.
Wylie returned back to the school for the first time in three years since winning gold in Rio.
Sunderland born Wylie finished first in the 50m freestyle during Rio 2016 in his debut Paralympic event.
