Boy knocked over by mini-motorbike in Newton Aycliffe

Police are appealing for information after a 13-year-old boy was knocked over by a mini-motorbike at the boating lake in Newton Aycliffe.

The boy was making his way from school on his pedal cycle when the rider of an off-road mini-moto drove along the footpath and hit him. It happened at 4pm on November 28, close to Honister Place

The rider did not stop. He is 5ft 9" and was wearing a full black helmet with visor. The mini-moto is described as green and black with black numbers on the side.

The boy returned home and was taken to hospital by ambulance after being assessed by paramedics. He has leg injuries.
