One lane has reopened on the A1 in North Yorkshire after a lorry blaze on Thursday morning.

One lane southbound is open but it still remains closed northbound between the A6136 (Catterick) and the A66 (Scotch Corner).

A HGV transporting hay bales caught fire shortly before 11:30am.

Drivers are advised to follow the diversion symbol and allow plenty of extra time for journeys.
