Tom Blenkinsop, the MP for Middlesbrough South and East Cleveland has offered his sympathy to the families of the two teenage boys who died at Huntcliff in Saltburn on Friday night. In a tweet, the Labour MP said his thoughts are with the relatives of the boys, who haven't yet been named by police.

Police are yet to release further details about how the boys died, however a spokesman from Humber coastguard has confirmed that the teenagers were winched from the foot of the cliffs by their helicopter, and flown to James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough. He added that it was low tide at the time of the tragedy. Police are expected to release further details about the boys' deaths later.
