Police in Northumberland have launched an investigation after the death of a woman in Stakeford, near Ashington.
At 6.48pm on Thursday, November 9, police received a report of concern for a woman at an address in Woodhorn Drive in Stakeford.
Police officers had to force their way into the property, where they then found the body of a woman.
She has been identified as Lisa Alderton, aged 36, from Woodhorn Drive, Stakeford.
A police spokesman said an investigation is ongoing into how the woman died, although there is not believed to have been any third party involvement.
