Champion jockey Jason Maguire carried the Olympic flame for the final stretch between Saltney and Chester today.
Speaking after he passed the flame from the torch into a cauldron on stage in front of a large crowd of spectators, Maguire said carrying the Olympic flame had been "a brilliant feeling".
Maguire, who was riding Donald McCain Jr-trained horse, said: "It was a great turnout from the crowd who came here and it was just an honour to do it. Overturn has done great tonight, he didn't let the crowd get to him too much and he's done a great job".
In a star-studded day for the Olympic Torch, the flame was carried by the captain of the Starship Enterprise and sport personalities alike.
The cast and crew of EastEnders are carrying out the final touches for tonight's Olympic Torch episode.
The Olympic Torch soared to new heights when it was taken to the top of the London Eye.
