The waistlines of 57% of British women are too big, according to new research. Larger waistlines are linked to infertility and cancer.

Extra fat around waist increases cancer risk

New figures show two-thirds of overweight people know they are at increased risk of cancer but don't have the willpower to lose weight. Cancer Research UK says 19 thousand cases a year could be prevented if overweight or obese people started to exercise more and eat a healthy diet.

Dr. Julie Sharp from Cancer Research UK says carrying extra weight, particularly around the waist, increases the risk of cancer.
