Stefan Pokorny, the Austrian scuba diving instructor arrested in connection with the disappearance of British yachtsman Sean Terry, will appear in court on Thursday.
Police in the Seychelles said no charges have been laid against him.
A former quantity surveyor, Mr Terry took early retirement to sail solo around the world.
Judith Middleton, a spokeswoman for Mr Terry's family, said two laptops, which the Brit used to contact family and friends, and the ship's logbook were missing when Mr Pokorny arrived alone near the Seychelles.
