Olympic gold medal holder Daley Thompson is the British sporting hero pubgoers would most like to share a pint with, according to new research.
A survey of 650 adults by real ale group Camra also found current cycling stars Sir Chris Hoy and Rebecca Adlington in the top 10, along with Sir Steve Redgrave and Dame Kelly Holmes.
Tony Jerome, head of marketing at Camra, said: "It appears people haven't forgotten Thompson's amazing athletic feats from the 1980s, so I doubt he ever needs to pick up the tab at his local."
The research was released on the eve of Camra's Great British Beer Festival, which opens in London's Olympia on Tuesday.
Mo Farah told ITV News he felt "over the moon" about his Olympic triumph in the 10,000 metres.
Ben Ainslie became the most successful sailor in Olympic history as he claimed gold for the fourth consecutive Games in Weymouth.
