Osborne: Return to borrowing would be 'complete disaster' for Britain

Speaking on BBC One's Andrew Marr Show, the Chancellor George Osborne said it is "clearly taking longer to recover from the financial crisis than anyone would have hoped."

But, he said, "the deficit is down by a quarter, there a million more jobs in the private sector...and to go back to the borrowing and the spending that Ed Balls represents would be a complete disaster for our country."
