The Department of Work and Pensions says it is trying to safeguard as many jobs as possible:
- At risk of redundancy are 875 employees across 15 Remploy factory sites and 34 CCTV sites
- The factorybusinesses lost around £50m last year
- Remploy Employment Services found 50,000 jobs for disabledand disadvantaged people since 2010 many with similar disabilities to those in Remploy factories
