A meteor shower is expected to reach its peak and send hundreds of shooting stars into the UK sky tonight.
At around 11:30pm a meteor shower will strike the night sky and could be visible, if weather conditions remain relatively clear.
However, experts have warned that the most observable activities might be seen in the North of the UK.
The moon will not be present when the shower reaches its peak, which may increase the visibility of the shooting stars.
