Most Man U fans do not come from the south, study shows
The myth that Manchester United fans do not live in the city has finally been dispelled thanks to a team of data researchers from the Oxford Internet Institute.
The traditional east and west split between fans of the two Manchester sides is reflected in the map, however, United do not have as many southern supporters as previously thought, according to the data.
Liverpool has the edge in the Merseyside rivalry with the Reds holding a slight advantage over Everton in the postcode that both stadiums are situated in.
The map also showed that the Queen could be a secret West Ham fan with the monarch’s home in SW1A going for the Hammers.
