Mother: Malaria deaths come from 'lack of education'
Every minute a child dies from malaria, but new research has found most Britons do not understand the causes of the disease.
Jo Yirrell's son contracted malaria and died after volunteering in Africa, he gave his tablets to someone else who he thought needed them more.
Speaking to Daybreak she said: "It's lack of education, he just thought he was young and strong and able to deal with it, it didn't occur to him that he would have more of a problem and he would lose his life because of it."
