Polls close in local elections in UKIP dominated campaign

Polls have closed in local elections following a campaign dominated by the UK Independence Party. Ahead of voting, bookmakers predicted Nigel Farage's candidates could scoop more than 100 seats. Counting will get underway in some town halls shortly, but most votes will be counted tomorrow.

ITV News Election Analyst, Professor Colin Rallings from Plymouth University says if the Conservative Party loses seats to UKIP, David Cameron will face some difficult questions from his own MPs.
