Black bear takes a stroll through LA neighbourhood

A bear caused concern after it took a leisurely stroll through a north of downtown Los Angeles neighbourhood.

The male black bear walked through a terraced backyard in the Sun Valley area before jumping over a fence and running down a hill.

Police surrounded tracked the bear's movements from the sky before officials tranquilised the animal and loaded him onto a truck.

He is expected to be released in the Angeles National Forest.
