Met Police: Second man remains under arrest in hospital

Detectives from the Metropolitan Police Service's Counter Terrorism Command have this evening, Wednesday 29 May, charged a man with the murder of Drummer Lee Rigby in Woolwich on Wednesday 22 May.

Michael Adebowale, 22, of Greenwich, was charged with the murder of Lee Rigby contrary to common law.

He was also charged with possession of a firearm, namely a 9.4mm KNIL Model 91 Revolver with intent thereof to cause persons to believe that unlawful violence would be used against him or her or another person, contrary to s16A of the Firearms Act 1968.

He has been remanded in custody to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court tomorrow Thursday 30 May at 1000hrs. Another male remains under arrest at a London Hospital.
