Police arrest EDL leaders after 'mosque warning'

English Defence League leader Tommy Robinson and co-leader Kevin Carroll were arrested today by police after they were warned they were "liable to arrest" if they continued further towards a mosque.

Police told the two men who were marching today reportedly to pay tribute to Drummer Lee Rigby: "We are looking to keep you both north of the river, whilst avoiding this road and avoiding the East London Mosque and the issues that are going to cause that.

"If you go down any further, you will be arrested."
