The family of a 22-year-old British climber who went missing in Peru said he was a "much-loved son, brother and friend".
Thomas Jagger, believed to be from the Buxton area of Derbyshire, has been missing for around a week in the Ancash region of Peru.
His family and the family of his close friend, Luke Dyer, issued the following statement:
This is a sad time for both families. Tom was a much-loved son, brother and friend and we wish to be given time to come to terms with what has happened.
The Democratic presidential candidate may also have shown his cards on his choice of running mate.
