Former England football star Paul Gascoigne admitted common assault and drunk and disorderly charges linked to an incident at a railway station when he appeared at Stevenage Magistrates Court today.

Gascoigne to pay £1,245 in total for drunken assault

Paul Gascoigne will have to pay a total of £1,245 for his drunken assault at a railway station on July 4.

He will pay:

  • The former footballer was fined £600 for one charge of assault.
  • He will also pay £400 for a drunk and disorderly charge.
  • Gascoigne was ordered to pay £100 in compensation to ticket collector Jack Sherrington, who he assaulted.
  • The 46-year-old will pay court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £60.
