Poll: 74% of Brits oppose military intervention in Syria

The British public is against the UK becoming involved in the Syria crisis, according to a recent survey.

A YouGov survey for The Sun (£) suggests that 74% oppose deploying British troops to Syria.

The poll found that 50% of those surveyed oppose attacking with long-range missiles from ships, while just 25% are in favour of the measure.

It showed that British military involvement is unpopular regardless of which political party people support, with UKIP voters the most strongly against it at 68%.
