Judge Yogesh Khanna has started hearing arguments from the prosecution and defence at a sentencing hearing. He may deliver the sentence later in the day or defer the decision.

A fifth suspect died after hanging himself in his jail cell.

Another defendant, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was 17 at the time of the attack and tried as a minor. He was sentenced to three years at a juvenile detention centre at the end of August.
