Review 'to strongly back case for plain packaging'

A study in Australia found that the smokers using standardised plain packets on them were 81% more likely to consider quitting, the Times reports.

Australia was the first country in the world to introduce the ban in 2011 and the government review of the public health impact of the ban, expected to be announced tomorrow, is expected to strongly back the case for plain packaging.
