Report: £500m worth RBS bonuses to be paid this year

Royal Bank of Scotland, the taxpayer-backed institution facing a string of investigations over its treatment of small businesses, is expected to pay its bankers an estimated £500 million in bonuses this year, according to The Sunday Times (£).

Although the bank will rack up losses running to billions of pounds, bonuses will be paid to many of its 122,000 employees.
