Ukraine's State Border Guard has said its coastguard base in Sevastopol has been surrounded by around 30 Russian marines, the Associated Press has reported.
The officials were quoted as saying the marines were from the 810th brigade of Russia's Black Sea Fleet and had told them they had taken their position to prevent weapons from the base being seized by extremists.
