The man who played Lynda Bellingham's husband in the famous Oxo ads has paid tribute to his former on-screen wife after her death, saying: "Lynda never left the room quietly."
Michael Redfern, the "Oxo dad", told BBC News that Bellingham was liked by everyone on set.
She remembered the names of the crew by name - something I couldn't do. She was a people person.
Asked why the public had taken her to their hearts, he said: "She was just normal - she was like the lady next door, or the wife or your mother."
A poignant letter Lynda Bellingham wrote to her two sons was read out by the pair at her funeral service in Somerset today.
ITV News readers have called for the return of the popular Oxo ad series this Christmas as a tribute following Lynda Bellingham's death.
The former panellist and Oxo mum made a final, moving return to the show earlier this month - in which she received a rapturous response.
