Thousands of Greeks have gathered on the streets of Athens tonight to show support for their new anti-austerity government as Greece's Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis makes a bid to secure a new debt deal for the country.

Holding banners with messages such as "Bankrupt but Free" and "Stop Austerity, Support Greece, Change Europe" demonstrators took to the streets as Varoufakis attended a meeting of eurozone peers in Brussels to discuss the country's current bailout deal.
