A man has been charged with the murder of teenager Alan Cartwright who was stabbed while riding a bicycle with friends in Islington, north London.

Joshua Williams, 18, of Davenant Road, north London, will appear tomorrow at Highbury Corner Magistrates' court charged with murder and conspiracy to rob, Scotland Yard said.

An 18-year-old man remains in custody after a warrant of further detention was granted.

Two males, aged 17 and 21, arrested in relation to the incident have been bailed.
