Lufthansa 'under no obligation' to report co-pilot's condition

Lufthansa has indicated that it was under no obligation to report the fact that Germanwings co-pilot Andreas Lubitz has suffered from depression to Germany's national aviation authority.

Analysis of a second black box confirmed Lubitz deliberately crashed Flight 4U 9525 into the French Alps, investigators said.

The data indicated that the pilot modified automatic settings to increase the speed of the plane as it descended, France BEA said.

German headmaster: We will never be happy at school

The headmaster of the Josef Koenig High School in Haltern said the whole school has been plunged into grief at the death of 16 of their students and two of their teachers.

Speaking to ITV News Correspondent Neil Connery, Ulrich Wessel said all of those who died had their whole lives in front of them, and the immense tragedy was being shared by the whole community.
