Sturgeon: SNP will 'engage positively' with Westminster

Scotland's First Minister Nicola Sturgeon has said the SNP will seek to "engage positively" with the Conservative government "but will exercise the influence that Scotland has given us".

She told ITV News: "The result of the election in Scotland can’t simply be ignored by David Cameron’s government. Scotland spoke overwhelmingly for an end to austerity, for greater investment in public services, and for a more empowered Scottish Parliament".

Economy 'most discussed issue' in seat Alexander lost

The economy was the most discussed issue on Facebook over the election campaign in the constituency lost by Labour's Douglas Alexander.

Alexander's Paisley and Renfrewshire South seat was taken by the SNP's Mhairi Black.

The Conservatives were the most talked about political party in the constituency with 33% of the discussion on Facebook, while the SNP had 18%.
