Missing teenager Amber Peat has not been seen since she walked out after an argument over chores with her parents, Nottinghamshire Police said.
Superintendent Matt McFarlane told reporters officers are carrying out searches in Mansfield and had spoken to family and friends.
He appealed for Amber, who has two younger sisters, to come home and for anyone with information on the missing teenager to contact them.
"We are looking for vulnerable, missing young girl here. The aim is to find her and get her home safe".
