Greek debt: Talks to resume as deadline beckons

Greek debt talks are resuming after creditors accused the country's Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras of failing to compromise.

Greece faces a 1.6 billion euro debt repayment to the International Monetary Fund on Tuesday, and is thought to require a new deal to avoid default and a possible withdrawal from the eurozone.

Hollande: EU leaders 'advancing towards' bailout agreement

French President Francois Hollande has said that EU leaders are "advancing towards" an agreement on a Greek bailout deal but acknowledged that work still remains to be done.

Hollande's comments were echoed by IMF chief Christine Lagarde who stated that "we have a huge amount of work to do on Greece in the next 48 hours."
